
Tim Baynes
Tim is the founder of Compat.io. He’s an expert on enterprise software, specifically product configuration systems, also known as CPQ or configure-price-quote systems. Over a 22+ year career, Tim has worked for and with the world’s leading software companies and manufacturers. He has designed, built, implemented and helped companies select CPQ systems that scale to millions of users. He has a passion for customized products, or any solution that can be tailored to the end user’s exact needs, and believes that this capability should be woven into all commerce channels so that everyone can get exactly what they want. Tim has a background in cognitive science and organizational behavior. He’s also a gearhead who loves to build and tweak his own stuff: motorcycles, bicycles, audio equipment, and airplanes. He lives in Springfield Missouri with his wife Leslie. He’s an instrument-rated private pilot and avid cyclist, with a love for anything with wheels, wings, or sails.

Chacko Cherian
Chacko has founded and run companies in the fields of software development, supply chain management and logistics technologies. He is multilingual, with an executive education from Stanford Graduate School of Business and an MS from Arizona State University. An avid endurance cyclist, Chacko cycled from Seattle, Washington to Washington, DC, covering 3300 miles as part of an effort that raised $300,000 for the American Lung Association in 2010. He loves exploring new places with his wife and children.

Catherine Trau
Catherine’s experience combines operations, technology and creativity. As President, Off Radar Media Group, L.A., she identified viable opportunities for investors and managed the resulting start-up ventures. A specialist in media design and technology, she headed Technical Operations – West Coast, MTV Networks, developing technical designs and supervising production operations for award shows, reality shows and concerts. At NBC, New York, she was Operations Manager for the start-up of CNBC and edited for NBC News. Catherine earned a B.A., Economics, from Washington University and an M.A., Learning Design and Technology, from SDSU. A dog lover, she serves on the board of K9s For Camo, a nonprofit training rescue dogs as service dogs for veterans.

Joe earned a BA in Philosophy and a BS in Computational Analytics from The Ohio State University. This unique combination of analytical training has empowered him to hit the ground running in a role combining data science, database architecture, and software development. He enjoys golf and motorsports and is a devoted fan of Liverpool FC, Columbus Crew SC, and The Ohio State Buckeyes. Above all, Joe is always seeking to learn and innovate, both personally and professionally.

Wes has designed SaaS platforms for enterprise projects across industries, including pharmaceutical, healthcare, consumer-packaged goods, financial services, entrepreneurship and productivity. Before joining Compatio, he ran his own UX shop for nine years, consulting on projects for both Fortune 100 companies and nonprofits with the same goal: improving a project’s success by defining a shared vision from everyone involved and respecting every side of the table. Wes is usually subscribed to 4–7 different DND podcasts.

Rob Suttman

Rob’s expertise is in balancing data and strategy to help companies make faster, more impactful decisions. After studying Economics and Operations at his hometown University of Dayton, Rob joined 20th Century Fox’s digital distribution group in Los Angeles where he worked on strategic analysis, deal negotiation, financial modeling, and product development. When he’s not in Excel, you can find him on the slopes, behind a camera, or very near a subwoofer.
